The programme:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complements KISU\u2019s goals and purpose;<\/li>\n<li>Complements all elements of KISU\u2019s traditional curricular, co-curricular and service\u00a0philosophies and practices;<\/li>\n<li>Provides an internationally recognised curriculum and examination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>KISU offers a broad selection of possible subjects, details of which can be found in the\u00a0attached pdf \u2018IB Diploma Programme Options Booklet \u2018.\u00a0In addition to those courses offered\u00a0by KISU, students can take one online course through Pamoja Education (see\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pamoja.com\/\">www.pamoja.com<\/a>\u00a0for further information).<\/p>\n<p>All students joining the school\u2019s IB Diploma\u00a0programme receive a free Chrome book at the start of their course to support their learning.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Three Pathways<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nThere are three post-secondary pathways open to students at KISU: the full IB Diploma\u00a0Programme; the trial IB Diploma Programme; and IB Course certificates.<br \/>\n1. To begin the full Diploma Programme, students need to achieve a grade B or higher\u00a0in their IGCSE* for any subjects they want to\u00a0study at Higher Level, and a grade C or\u00a0higher for any subject they want to study at Standard Level. For those who wish to\u00a0study\u00a0Physics or Mathematics (Higher Level), we ask that students have an A at\u00a0IGCSE (or equivalent).<\/p>\n<p>2. For those students who do not quite reach this requirement, there is the option of\u00a0beginning the full DP on a trial basis. Students enrolled on the Trial Diploma must\u00a0have met certain levels at key stages of the first year to continue on the full diploma.<\/p>\n<p>3. Alternatively, students may complete a combination of Certificate courses at\u00a0different levels. These courses are recognised by many universities around the\u00a0world. All students following this route are required to complete CAS.
